Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a man commits are outside his body, but he who sins sexually sins against his own body. (1 Corinthians 6:18)



No one who lives in him keeps on sinning. No one who continues to sin has either seen him or known him. (1 John 3:6)



REPENT! Turn from your sin and turn to Christ.

Your ample knowledge of the scriptures is intriguing for someone who seems to not believe the truth in them. First off, I want to make clear that I am not perfect. For we all have sinned and fell short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23). I am nothing more than a sinner saved by grace. Before I answer your first question, I want to respond to your 2nd to last statement, of how I should learn to spread love and compassion. My mission/calling is not to spread love and compassion, but spread TRUTH. And the truth is, if someone is entangled in habitual sexual sin, they are on their way to hell. It is not loving for me to say, Jesus loves you, and he does not mind if you are involved in sexual immorality, you can still go to heaven everything is fine. That would be a deception of a most deplorable nature. I am trying to communicate how people can be saved, not how they can feel good.



Now, in response to your first inquiry, God did not create imperfect beings in His own image. When God created the heavens and the earth, man and the world he lived in was perfect. Imperfection or sin did not infiltrate creation, until Adam sinned and ate from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil (Genesis 3). And from your ample use of bible terminology, it appears that you would know exactly what I am talking about. So I press on.



By the way you stated the first question, is appears that you are calling sexual sin being-human. That whenever people have sex they are just doing a natural thing, it is simply biological. But that was not the plan of God from the very beginning. God intended for sex to be enjoyed within the confines of marriage. Even in Genesis 2:24 Adam said, For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh. So it is very important that we distinguish between the will of God, and wills of others.



That being said God did not create robots. The God whom the Bible talks about, and whom Jesus Christ incarnates, is a God of love, and this entails that He is a God of freedom, for you cannot have love without freedom. We were created with the ability to choose love, and thus with the potential to choose its opposite evil. To assume that God is responsible for our evil- even the evil committed in His name is, I suspect, to assume that humans are robots who simply act out of a divine preplanned program. But if that were the case, we could never be loving beings. I want to argue that, ultimately, all evil in the world comes from free wills other than God. What God wills and does is always good. Whatever is not good has its origin from someone or something other than God. (Boyd)



The truth is God is love. But His love is a holy love that will damn sinners to hell for eternity, if they do not repent, and come to faith in Jesus Christ. I cannot Be still, and be quite about this if I truly love others.

Hello "bond-slave for Christ:"

If this "God" of yours is so perfect why did he create such imperfect beings who are just being-human "IN HIS OWN IMAGE?" It is very, very easy to look outside yourself and justify your rants...oh, I mean, inspired "spreading the Good News." Do yourself a favor: for 40 days shut off your computer, turn off your television, turn off all communication with the outside world, eat a minimal amount of food (basically go on a "fast"), and during those forty days don't talk to anybody or communicate with anybody in any way and try to "Be still" --basically, sit at the feet of Jesus as Mary did when He returned upon hearing about the death of Lazarus. After you conclude those forty days -- and I can promise you that by your rant you would not even get through four days --- swallow your self-righteous crap and for the rest of your remaining days look inside your own mind and heart (if you can find it) and try to "Be still" rather than spread ignorance and quote a text for your own self-righteous and pride-filled ego. Now go ask for forgiveness for your self and ask the One who forgives you to teach you how to spread Love and Compassion.



I will pray tonight that you are able to break through the Illusion and find the Truth.

The writer seems to be scientific and straight to the point. I wonder how it must have shocked some 'innocent' readers back then in the 30's.

It is so much more honest, instead of PRETENDING to be "neutral" and "objective." The information is also presented so much more candidly. Skip to the final chapters, on love, for a good overview of the general idea of course. This reminds me of a very similar volume of a somewhat similar name, The History and Philosophy of Marriage. It is available here to download free I think: also on Amazon.
